About the Artist

Liz Sharp is an extremely versatile and talented painter, illustrator and textile designer living in Fort Lauderdale Florida. From a young age with a flair for fashion and a decorative sense, Liz was creating hand painted beads, designing batiks, hand dyeing fabrics and sewing original creations. In 1980 Liz graduated from Cleveland's Cooper School of Art with a bachelors degree in Fashion Illustration and textile arts. At age 23 she picked up and moved to The Big Apple in pursuit of a career in the fashion Industry. She was quickly hired by a major distributor and manufacturer called Sweet Pea Designs to produce hand painted apparel, sold internationally to boutiques and department stores.

As her career evolved she eventually moved to Los Angeles and found herself developing costumes, storyboards and characters in the animation industry for shows such as "Jem", "My Little Pony", "The transformers", "Smurfs" and many more. In addition to she received two Emmy awards for her work on "The Muppet Babies" show, designing models and costumes. Now residing in Florida, continuing to design prints for apparel and home domestically and abroad, Liz has come full circle 30 years later to her passion for fashion and hand painting once again.
